Entries for September, 2006

new month

Oh sweet cheese, it's September now, isn't it? I could swear it was July just the other day.

Luckily Butterfly Boucher and David Bowie make everything better like chocolate.

...

Well crikey. What do you make of that?

LJ interests collage

The part that most impresses me is that Jaina Jade was in my interests (if not mine, I ask you, then whose?) and the first image to come up for that interest was indeed one I had used as her avatar for years. There's also screenshots and headers from several sites I recognise; one's a message board my brother frequents, though I don't even have an account there.

Yay memories. (And now for a collage.)

fatigue

I've devolved into a state where caffeine will no longer make me alert. This is, as my brother would say, "a thing of suck." I did manage to complete my class reading by unimpressive dint of having read it all before (apparently there are three essays that are prime examples of good writing, and in every English class one takes, one will be required to read them -- again).

Checking the readings off my assignments list is good. Having to dredge up details that "stood out to me" for discussion and then complete a writing assignment, all by tonight? Less good. Ungood even.

Back after I've somehow gained some ground.

Xanga crossposting

I'm removing Xanga from my crossposting list. If the crossposting if broken, fine; if it works, that's wonderful. But I'm sick of tempting myself with false hope. It's broken. It's dead to me.

If it ever rises from the grave, somebody give me a holler? Until then, I'm ignoring its rot.

Testing Writely blogposting.

Elf Only Inn

It's back, baby!

Eris and Dysnomia

Heh heh heh. Hail Eris!

English

I lost points on last week's writing assignment. Why? For one, because I wrote "rumours" and the instructor corrected it to "rumors." Apparently English spelling doesn't fly in (wait for it) an English class -- we're all required to write American-style. (The other point was for missing a space between two words. It probably vanished after Word mangled my paragraphs, during my attempts to restore order. That part irks me but was fairly assessed.)

Between that and the classmate whose idea of constructive crit is correcting everyone else's run-on sentences and fragments, even those that occur in naturally flowing dialogue, you'll have to excuse me. I need to go kill some pixels now. (You may mourn the poor, defenceless pixels if you wish.)

Before I go, let us also mourn my late Tabulas styles. They were pretty, but (for) now they are dead. They used large images in my Tabulas gallery. Said images are currently AWOL. I've already filed a support ticket and am waiting to at least hear confirmation that this is a known problem.

The template bug has since been solved. Yay!
