I'm still alive. I swear I'm only
mostly (brain) dead. (Ooh,
Braindead. Should toss that in my "to watch" bin.)
I spent the later part of Friday babysitting and planned to use Saturday to catch up online. Saturday, I let Windows Update do its thing and spent the entire rest of the day doing progressively stupider things in attempts to fix the resultant OS instability (turning off security programs while reinstalling the update, fiddling with the registry, and ultimately restoring my OS to its state circa August). Sunday looked like a perfect day to share political gripes with my grandfather, and so it was. Monday - more babysitting.
Now it's Tuesday afternoon. If I squint at my inbox, I can pretend I can see an unread message in there somewhere. There's also some
AIM in my Gmail, which is real and should prove handy if I can keep from closing in the tab in horror of my Unread count.
